Dissection...

I took apart my old broken Casio Exilim Digital Camera today out of curiosity and I found this!

I'm not sure exactly what it is but I like it!

Ooooh! Circuitry.

Art...

I will someday purchase an ocean painting from artist Ran Ortner.
This first one is my favorite I've seen so far.

Super Elastic Bubble Plastic!

Picture I took and edited of a B'Loonie!

So today the kiddies and I played with B'Loonies!  I remember watching commercials for these things.  I don't think they are entirely safe to be honest, but they are fun.
I edited a little video from today.  I used Windows Movie Maker which is probably the easiest and least expensive editing program ever.  I used to have another program called Vegas, but I had to dispose of it due to technical problems with saving.  The little movie I made didn't come out how I wanted it to because of some editing issues and a lack of footage, but I think it's kinda neat to watch.
Hope you enjoy!

Wow! I did not realize how terribly pixelated the video has become on the internet.  Well then.  I suppose you can try to make out what you're watching. : )

Alan Wake...

I finally got a hold of the video game Alan Wake a few weeks ago.  I've been waiting for the game since they announced it was being made maybe five years ago.  It isn't exactly what I expected but I thought it was a fun game to pick up and play through.  If you've played the first Max Payne game in the soon to be trilogy of games, then you can understand some of the jokes in Alan Wake.  Its nice hearing Max Payne's voice again in a new game.  I can't wait for the third Max Payne to come out.  The Alan Wake story is interesting and keeps you wondering as to what is to happen.  I don't want to get too much into the game because I think it's more fun to just start the game right up without knowing anything about it.  The scenery is fantastic and the music is right on with the overall feeling of the game.  The creators of the game wanted to give it a "Twin Peaks" feel to it which I believed they pulled through with.  Get those coffee mugs!

Here are some screen shots from the game.

Surprise!

I figured out earlier last year that I absolutely love canoeing.  The first time I went, it was storming heavily (I'm talkin' pouring down rain and each crash of thunder was heard right above our heads, each individual shock noticeable), and my friend and I weren't sure if this was the best time to give this a shot.  We headed for the main portable to pay for a single canoe and received a map to our destination.  It was exciting to be trying something new and heading out with a friend that had no clue what she was doing either.  We went paddling down a stream under two bridges and into a rain forest of some kind.  Tall trees towered above us providing shade.  We could hear birds from above and the rustling of leaves from below.  It was a cathartic experience and exactly what I needed at the time.  I couldn't believe how beautiful nature could be.  I bring up this canoeing hobby of mine because tomorrow is my best friend's birthday, and I have planned a little canoeing trip for her.  She has never gone and I thought this would provide a memorable experience.  I really hope she enjoys herself!

Broken...

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a long time.  My computer charger cord broke and I'm in the process of waiting for a replacement.  I also ordered hinges to fix the screen.  Hopefully, all the items will come in soon and I'll be updating regularly again.
